What is a CCFH?
Unlike traditional donor projects, CCFHs create permanent community-owned climate infrastructure that continues delivering impact beyond grants.
Each hub functions simultaneously as a climate bank, a climate innovation centre, a governance platform, a project accelerator and a resilience-building institution.
Because the hub is owned locally, decisions about what gets financed are made by the people who live with the consequences — and the institution remains standing when a funding cycle closes.

How it works
Communities mobilise and register a hub with inclusive membership.
Governance is constituted, with women, youth and marginalised groups holding the majority of leadership roles.
The hub is capitalised from blended sources and builds fiduciary and technical capacity.
Local projects are appraised, financed and implemented by community institutions.
Results, finances and lessons are reported openly and reinvested into the hub.
